Reynard the fox

This is my degree final year project, Based on the 2020 retelling of the tale of 'Reynard the Fox' by Anne Louise Avery. my project brings to life the animal kingdom, ruled by King Noble the Lion. The story follows the highs and lows of Reynard the Fox's life as he tricks his fellow animals and lies to protect himself. Designed in keeping with the medieval period to suit an intimate theatre setting. I also worked to maintain sustainability throughout my process.  

The designs were created using mixed media: acrylic paint, chalk, fineliner pen, acrylic paint pen and biro all collaged together. 
The two costumes presented here are King noble the lion and sir grimbart the badger. Chosen because of their range in size, colours and overall shape. These costumes were constructed from recycled/ reclaimed materials wherever possible.
